Arrival & First Impressions

Just a 40-minute drive from Lynden Pindling International Airport, The Ocean Club is perfectly positioned on Paradise Island, a destination that truly lives up to its name. The resort offers the best of both worlds: serenity when you crave stillness, and adventure when it calls.

The Ocean Club arranged a seamless airport transfer for us, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a dream; palm trees swaying in the breeze, turquoise waters glimmering in the distance, and the gentle sound of waves rolling against the shore. It looked exactly like a Caribbean postcard brought to life.

We were welcomed with chilled towels and fresh drinks before getting a tour of the property and heading to our suite.

Rooms & Suites

Each of the rooms, suites, and villas is designed for peaceful indulgence. We stayed in the Luxury Oceanfront Suite in the Crescent Wing with a patio that opened straight onto a huge green lawn sprinkled with hammocks set against a backdrop of the ocean. It was absolutely breathtaking.

The room felt spacious, open, and airy. Just as you entered, a small foyer and walkway separating the living area from the bathroom, giving the suite a sense of flow and privacy. Inside, there was a king bed, a cozy sitting area, a dining nook, and a minibar tucked neatly into the corner.

The design had a coastal style: light, fresh, and timeless. Think white and sand tones, soft blues and greens, and textures inspired by the sea. The bathroom made a statement. As you entered, you were welcomed by a mosaic feature wall (which I haven't seen in ages and found wonderfully nostalgic) with a soaking tub just beneath it.There was also a dual vanity, separate shower and WC, and gold-framed mirrors that added the perfect touch of warmth.

Overall, the suite struck the perfect balance between luxury and homeliness; elegant yet inviting. Before our arrival, I had mentioned that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the team arranged a little sweet treat for him in the room. It was so sweet and thoughtful. They also gifted us the classic Four Seasons caps, and a hand-painted tote made in the Bahamas. It’s those little gestures that make you feel genuinely cared for and welcomed.

Food & Drink

The Ocean Club’s culinary scene is world-class yet refreshingly relaxed. There are a few different dining options available to guests.

Dinner at DUNE by Jean-Georges

DUNE by Jean-Georges

The culinary heart of the resort. DUNE by Jean-Georges presents an international menu of Michelin-distinguished Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s signature dishes, inspired by his travels around the world. Breakfast here is breezy and bright; by evening, the space transforms into the ultimate date-night spot. Every plate is artful, the ocean breeze drifts through, and the service feels effortlessly warm.

Don’t miss: the legendary Sunday Brunch: tropical fruit, buttery pastries, and endless seafood.

Ocean Blu

Casual yet chic, Ocean Blu overlooks turquoise waters and captures island dining at its most relaxed. Expect Latin American dishes with a Bahamian twist—conch salad, jerk tofu, and grilled fish straight from the sea. Perfect for a poolside lunch or sunset bites.

DUNE Bar & Martini Lounge

Evenings here are for Bond-style sophistication — live music, ocean views, and handcrafted cocktails. The Vesper Martini (shaken, not stirred) might just be the most elegant drink on the island.

In-Room & Destination Dining

You can enjoy meals all over the property. Breakfast on your terrace. Candlelit dinners on the beach. Curated picnics in the Versailles gardens. The Ocean Club’s team makes every moment feel tailored and special — even dining in your robe feels elevated.

Versailles Gardens – The Heart of Paradise Island

Versailles Gardens

Few places capture the romance and grandeur of The Ocean Club quite like the Versailles Gardens. Modeled after the famous gardens of Versailles in France, this terraced sanctuary is a masterpiece of symmetry and serenity.

Lined with marble statues and vibrant bougainvillea, the gardens cascade gently toward a view of the turquoise sea. At the top stands the cloister ruins of a 12th-century French monastery, adding a touch of history and mystique to this island paradise.

Whether you’re wandering its shaded paths at golden hour or pausing beside the reflecting pools, the Versailles Gardens feel like stepping into a fairytale.

It’s no wonder this spot has become one of the most sought-after destinations in the Caribbean for weddings, proposals, and quiet reflection. For guests of The Ocean Club, it’s not just a place to visit; it’s a place to feel.

Wellness & Leisure

Wellness flows naturally through every part of The Ocean Club experience. Guests can join complimentary yoga or poolside Pilates, enjoy the Balinese-inspired spa, or work out in the state-of-the-art fitness centre with an outdoor jungle gym.

The Ocean Club Golf Course is among the Caribbean’s most scenic; even non-golfers will love it for its ocean views and glimpses of celebrity homes. Guests can also borrow bikes to explore Paradise Island or enjoy a morning tennis match beneath palm trees.

When it’s time to cool off, there’s no shortage of options. The resort features three distinct pools, each with its own atmosphere:

  • Ocean Pool: An iconic infinity pool overlooking the sea.
  • Lagoon Pool: Family-friendly and playful, surrounded by waterfalls and shallow coves.
  • Versailles Pool: Adults-only pool set in front of the stunning gardens for peaceful lounging.

The resort also offers a Kids for All Seasons Club with daily complimentary activities for ages 4–12, allowing parents a few hours of quiet indulgence.

Adventure

For those craving adventure, there’s no shortage of experiences to choose from. You can book excursions to swim with dolphins, snorkel among colorful reefs, or even visit the famous Bahamian pigs.

If you prefer to stay on the island, guests enjoy complimentary access to Atlantis, located just next door. Spend the afternoon at the Aquaventure Water Park, drift along its lazy rivers, or explore the marine habitats teeming with exotic sea life. Atlantis also offers a lively mix of shopping and dining — the perfect change of pace without ever leaving Paradise Island.

We spent one sunny afternoon racing down water slides and sharing ice cream cones — a joyful reminder that even in the most luxurious settings, there’s always room for play. Complimentary shuttles make it easy to explore anywhere on Paradise Island, adding an extra touch of ease to the experience.

What Makes It Special

What truly sets The Ocean Club apart isn’t just its beauty; it’s the way it makes you feel. The hospitality here is intuitive and deeply personal. From the moment you arrive, staff remember your name, greet you with genuine smiles, and somehow anticipate what you need before you even ask.

It’s that effortless attentiveness that leaves a lasting impression — the gym attendant who has a chilled towel and water ready before your bike ride, the concierge who recalls your plans from the day before and arranges transport, and the front desk that extends your checkout for an evening flight without you having to ask.

These aren’t grand gestures, but moments of human connection that make you feel truly valued — the kind that define the signature Four Seasons magic.

Final Thoughts

There aren’t many hotels I can say I was truly sad to leave, but The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas is one of them. Every time we returned to our suite, it felt like coming home. So peaceful, so blissful.
